Ganna Studio, led by designers Shih-Jie Lin and Ting-Liang Chen, specializes in sophisticated interiors – a fact that goes a long way towards explaining how they tailored their exceptional apartment, which also doubles as their office.

Located on the ground level of a 40-year-old building in an historic village formerly peopled by military families, the apartment makes references to the past while being resolutely modern. The most elegant statement is made by the moulded panels that act as operable partitions between the kitchen and the office area. Their traditional decorative relief is nicely offset by the Rock chair by Diesel for Moroso, among the many choice furnishings throughout the space.

The interior’s other surfaces are just as well-considered, from the wood table that extends from a glossy island in the kitchen, to the herringbone flooring and the living room’s marble base, upon which sits Jean Paul Gautier’s sofa for Roche Bobois.
