EUROPA: Connecting Ideas Across Borders will focus on the relationship between European countries and the UK. The talks will provide a platform for emerging architects practising in Europe to engage in critical dialogues with UK audiences about contemporary architecture.

Focusing on a new generation of designers, the talks will offer exposure to the most experimental approaches to architecture shaped by the different geographical localities, political and social realities of countries on the European continent.

The EUROPA talks are a unique opportunity for practices to discuss approaches to architecture and the built environment in countries that share borders but not necessarily ideologies. How does this contribute to wider architectural discourse and ultimately to the formation of the urban landscape? The ebb and flow of EU citizens in mainland Europe is relatively smooth, but can the same be said for knowledge and ideas? Do borders create fluidity or dissonance?
