Office S&M is hiring an architect to join its team in London.

Office S&M are looking to hire a qualified architect to lead on the detailed design and construction of multi-unit residential schemes using Revit, with support from a team and the wider practice. We are open to hearing from a range of recently qualified architects as well as more experienced architects, as long as candidates have the housing and Revit skills required.

The role

You will have the responsibility to run housing projects through detailed design and on to site with support from the team and partners. This will include the preparation of technical drawings for tender and construction, liaising with other consultants, preparing schedules, and specification writing. You will manage team members and consultants, while attending management, client and design team meetings, and assisting with site queries, visits, and documentation during construction.

Skill and abilities:

  • experience with UK and London based residential design, planning and building control requirements
  • exceptional design and technical skills at this scale
  • excellent design and graphic ability, particularly with regards to planning and technical documentation
  • highly organised, in order to arrange your own time, and the programme for consultants and clients, in order to meet deadlines
  • familiar with Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office, NBS Chorus
  • able to maintain positive working relations with other colleagues and communicate effectively and negotiate with the design team and clients
  • exceptional attention to detail, reliability and ability to work independently

Start date: June 2022 or sooner if possible

Location

The option of two days per week WFH, with a minimum of three days per week at our office in Dalston, or as per government advice. We can also support part time working, and please let us know if this would be your ideal structure.

Salary
