2pi rdesign is looking for junior-intermediate level Industrial Designers / Furniture Designers to develop high-end furniture and accessories for international hotel projects, residential and retail markets.

Overall responsibilities:

• Assists in all phases of the design process as part of the Industrial Design team
• Supports the Industrial Design team by producing both internal and client presentations –Responsible for suppliers, vendor contacts, and sourcing

Key areas of responsibility:

• Research & Concept Development, Design Refinement, Design for Production, Production drawings and Production Support

Qualifications:

• Graduate of a 4-year degree (or equivalent diploma) in Industrial Design or Furniture Design
• Proficient in 3d modeling software: SolidWorks or Rhino, including supporting photorealistic rendering packages
• Strong hand sketching and visualization skills; intuitive understanding of what “tools” to use when
• Keen sense of proportion and strong analytical thinking
• Producing prototype and production-ready technical drawing packages in accordance with 2pi r drawing standards
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and techniques; hands-on experience prototyping and fabricating furniture and products
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, strong graphic and presentation skills
• Ability to switch design genres and styles on a project-to-project basis
• Ability to work multitask and work on several projects at once, both independently as well as collaboratively
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
