Philadelphia

Our Philly team of architects, interior designers, and engineers design & plan for commercial offices, healthcare, universities, sciences and research, start-ups and more. Our practice is integrative, which means support across all disciplines from the bright professionals in our office located in the heart of Center City. Here, you’ll be immersed in projects at all levels. We work together in and outside the office, supporting our community and each other.

Our Philadelphia office is currently seeking A professional who works under senior members of the interior design team to develop design solutions appropriate to the context, budget and aesthetic requirements of interior projects. They also conduct research on behalf of the design team, collaborate with other design disciplines and have opportunities to coordinate the design through all phases of the project. As an Interior Designer you will combine your creativity and aesthetic knowledge together to produce exceptional design solutions.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

  • Prepares presentation boards and other presentation materials
  • Performs site surveys, feasibility studies, concept design schematics and material / furniture systems research to ensure a satisfactory solution is delivered that meets quality parameters, project timelines and budgetary requirements
  • Prepares drawings, models and renderings, following office standards
  • Checks accuracy of own work and makes edits as required
  • Attends meetings to coordinate drawings and resources, determine project criteria and provide information
  • Maintains the interior design library by organizing and continually updating new and discontinued materials
  • Assists in the administration relating to the procurement and delivery of furniture, fixtures and equipment
  • Follows safety requirements when conducting field or site survey work
  • Works effectively in a team by supporting other team members
  • Improves timeliness of delivery without compromising quality of solutions and services
  • Gains familiarity with current design trends, FFE distributors and presentation techniques to improve skills and implements them on project work
  • Represents organization and interacts in a professional manner with client, sub-consultant and contractor representatives

Qualifications

  • Have successfully completed related post-secondary education
  • Is proficient in Interior Design software skills (i.e. AutoCAD, Revit, 3D Sketch Up, Photoshop, InDesign and Microsoft programs)
  • Have experience in interior design and presentation; demonstrates creativity and aesthetic knowledge
  • Is familiar with Mechanical, Electrical, and Structural permits and building codes
  • Prior experience in project delivery, project management, and client management is required
  • Possess superior time management and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrate an ability to coordinate with other team members and to collaborate with other professional disciplines
  • Membership as an Interior Designer with a Relevant Registered Association is considered an asset
