Figure3 is an award-winning Toronto based design firm recognized for transforming the future by connecting people to place. We partner with business leaders to invent exceptional places for people to work, shop and live. Figure3 is currently seeking a Project Designer, Workplace.

Duties

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the Workplace Studio team on the development and implementation of design for corporate clients.

  • Contribute to intelligent, innovative, and sustainable workplace design solutions
  • Contribute to all phases of workplace projects, ensuring high quality and timely delivery
  • Curate materials and finishes selections for various types of projects
  • Co-ordinate activities and build positive relationships with clients, industry partners and suppliers
  • Build strong design solutions leveraging your SketchUp and InDesign skillsets
  • Select furniture to support design solutions
  • Produce construction working drawing packages
  • Create millwork drawings and details
  • Contribute to internal Figure3 process improvements and other initiatives

Qualifications

  • University or College graduate in Interior Design or other relevant discipline
  • Ideally, a minimum of 1-2 years’ experience
  • Strong AutoCAD, SketchUp, InDesign skills essential; Photoshop & Revit skills are beneficial
  • Demonstrated understanding of design for both large and small workplace projects including the ability to read architectural and engineering drawings
  • Understanding of millwork construction
  • Ability to present ideas and concepts successfully to multiple stakeholders
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and team skills
