Domus Academy Interior Design projectEditor’s Note: This listing was updated on December 2, 2022

OVERVIEW

Domus Academy’s Interior & Living Design Program gives students access to work with an industry-leading faculty. Courses are broken up into three categories – theoretical courses, core workshops and elective workshops – to enhance the multidisciplinary learning experience of students and allow them to discover which creative field best suits them.

The Academic Master’s degree is obtained through an 11-month long multidisciplinary program, wherein students will receive accreditation from the Italian Ministry for University and Research upon completing a rigorous set of design workshops and an industry placement in their final module. There is also the Double Award Master’s Degree, which would allow students to obtain two master’s degrees in 14 months and include UK accreditation.

Led by Aoi Hasegawa, the program includes such demanding courses as the Design of Spaces workshop where students collaborate with leading design brands such as Kartell Museo and Triennale di Milano. (A recent project by Valeria Gómez Lara in collaboration with Triennale di Milano was displayed during Milan Design Week.) Each course offered in both master’s programs are strategically structured in a workshop-based format to enhance student learning, supported by seminars and lectures ranging from topics such as Design Culture to Retail and Visual Merchandising.
