ELAINE CECCONI is co-founder of Toronto’s award-winning interior design firm, Cecconi Simone. She has presided over high-profile projects worldwide, including City Square in Shenzhen, The Pearl in Qatar and numerous residential developments across North America. She also consults for such manufacturers as Moen and Kohler.

JEFFREY BERNETT is founder of NYC’s multidisciplinary design firm Consultants for Design Strategy and has worked with top manufacturers including B&B Italia, Cappellini, Herman Miller, Knoll, Mercedes Benz and Ligne Roset. His first furniture collection presented at New York’s International Contemporary Furniture Fair received the Editor’s Award for “Best of Show.”

JENNIFER GUTHRIE is one of the founding partners and directors of Seattle landscape architecture practice Gustafson Guthrie Nichol. Her clients include Boston’s Museum of Fine Arts, the Art Institute of Chicago and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Campus in Seattle. In 2011, the firm received the Smithsonian Cooper-Hewitt’s National Design Award for landscape architecture.

MIKE KEILHAUER is president and founding partner of Canadian contract seating manufacturer Keilhauer, which has won a slew of international design awards and has made Arthur Andersen & Co.’s list of Canada’s 50 best-managed private companies. He is an Honorary Member of ARIDO, a Director Emeritus of the Design Exchange and a Toronto chapter member of the World President’s Organization.

BRIGITTE SHIM is a partner at Shim-Sutcliffe Architects, which has received 11 Governor General’s medals and awards in architecture, as well as a National Honor Award from the American Institute of Architects. She is a professor at the University of Toronto, as well as visiting professor at Yale, Harvard and Lausanne and has served on the Aga Khan Architecture Award Master Jury.

BEN VAN BERKEL is co-founder and principal of Amsterdam-based architecture and design firm UNStudio. He co-created such award-winning projects as Galleria Centercity in South Korea and the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart. He is a professor of conceptual design at Frankfurt’s Städelschule and was recently appointed Kenzo Tange Chair at Harvard’s Graduate School of Design.

The jury will convene in March to choose the winners that will be published in AZURE’s AZ AWARDS ANNUAL on newsstands June 2012.
