The Beacon is a design competition for an architectural structure than can be set alight. The competition involves the design of a structure in which a fire can be made, the primary purpose of which is to act as the opening ceremony centrepiece torch for the Lemba Lights Festival at the Cultural Village of Lemba, Paphos, Cyprus in August 2018.

The site is the Lemba Plaza, an area currently being created as a meeting point for those living and working in the village, either at the art and architecture school, the local pottery workshop, or local residents.
