Non Architecture introduces Videogame Architecture, an exciting new competition where architects and graphic designers can let their skills shine. In line with typical Non Architecture style, we propose 9+2 themes – eleven critical topics to work on. Rather than a program, it is a research ecosystem composed of various competitions running in parallel and exploring the same theme from different perspectives. Our exploration journey will continue with theme five: VIRTUAL.

Participants are asked to either design a new building/level within the context of an existing videogame or translate their favorite videogame into a real-life building. Make sure you understand the videogame you’re working on and what are the strong logics behind it and turn them into a tool to design your own architecture piece – only 2 drawings, absolute freedom of scale, or program.

Non Architecture Competitions are open to everyone, from any age and cultural background, working in groups or individually. The registration fee is paid per team, regardless of how many members form it. Personal information of all the team members can be uploaded during the submission procedure of the final drawing.

Non Architecture Competitions will award two winners, one selected by each jury, and a total of 6 honourable mentions.
