Achille Castiglioni and Brothers aims to explore the creative process of the Castiglioni brothers, Milanese architects and designers who were international key figures in the history of design. The curators Ico Migliore and Mara Servetto were Achille Castiglioni’s pupils at the Politecnico di Torino, later becoming his assistants at the Politecnico di Milano. Their close relationship with Castiglioni gave them the opportunity to share his project vision.
The exhibition space measures more than 1000m2 and introduces visitors to the private world of Achille Castiglioni and his brothers Livio and Pier Giacomo, their family life and the works of their studio, as well as the cultural dynamics that characterized Italy during those years. The curation seeks to reflect the originality of their design vision and their works, which over time have become icons, influencing generations of furniture design, lighting and objects.
