The Istituto Italiano di Cultura in Toronto presents this project dedicated to the Italian photographer known worldwide as one of the most important researchers of Italian contemporary photography who examines industrial areas – suburban architecture, harsh secondary roads, piles of garbage, spray-painted walls, abandoned depots and construction sites – altered by man. The exhibition gathers more than 50 works, from the collection of the Canadian Centre for Architecture, taken at the end of the 1980s and the beginning of the new millennium, from the volume A New Map of Italy. The Photographs of Guido Guidi curated by John Gossage (Loosestrife Editions, 2011).
