This travelling exhibition brings a series of dollhouses – on loan from the Victoria and Albert Museum of Childhood in London – to Washington’s National Building Museum. The show offers a peek at the history of domestic life, and at British architecture’s many periods, via such elaborate playsets as the Georgian-era Tate Baby House; Jenny’s House, a mod high-rise from the ’60s; and Kaleidoscope House, a 21st-century home designed with architect Peter Wheelwright.
