Beginning at the north-east corner of University Avenue and College Street and ending near the Queen Subway Station, this stroll down Toronto’s ceremonial boulevard is hosted by the Toronto Society of Architecture. It explores the buildings, landscapes and artwork that define one of Toronto’s most unique thoroughfares – as well as the stories behind the architecture, including the origins and growth of hospital row.

Taking place on the Sundays of July 14, August 11, September 15, the tour features buildings and landscapes from the 1950s to 2018 – and a glimpse of some of the projects to come in the coming years. Some highlights include Sick Kids Atrium (Zeidler Roberts Partnership, 1993), Shell Oil Building (Marani & Morris, 1961), the University Avenue Medians (Dunnington-Grubb & Stensson, 1961) and the Four Season Centre for the Perfoming Arts (Diamond Schmitt Arhcitects, 2006).
