Brook Landscape is looking for an Architect/Project Manager to join its team in Brooklyn, USA. This position will work closely with the creative director and director of operations. This position holds unlimited growth potential for a self-motivated and knowledgeable candidate.

Responsibilities of the Architect/Project Manager:

• act as project liaison to clients with oversight from creative director and operations director
• responsible for project development through schematic design and design development phases. Will work closely with the director of operations during construction document development. Knowledge of building code and experience with the NYC DOB filing process is a plus
• assists creative director and operations director with client correspondence, material ordering, purchasing, and day-to-day communications
• responsible for coordinating construction details between plan, section, elevation, and material coordination. Junior designer is responsible for reviewing his or her drafting for general coordination of project components and details before presentation to the creative director and/or director of operations
• knowledge of product design and furniture design is a plus, as is advanced knowledge of simple architectural details
• exposure to current design trends and the ability to understand, interpret and implement similar details a plus
• assists in the creation and maintenance of job-tracking systems
• assist in the creation of new design proposals, construction proposals and construction estimates
• assist in the management of miscellaneous duties/responsibilities as assigned by creative direction and the director of operations
• while not necessary, hands-on building experience is strongly recommended for any candidate interested in applying for this position

Qualifications and skills:

• degree from an accredited bachelors’s or masters’s program in architecture
• three to five years of job experience
• proficient in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
• ambition to consistently develop portfolio projects within the constraints of time and budget

• horticultural interest and knowledge areas are a must
• design consultant management and coordination experience is a plus (structural, plumbing, electrical and code consultants)
