AVENUE ROAD is a North American based furniture retailer, manufacturer and distributor engaged in both residential and contract markets, offering classic-contemporary designs with timeless style and enduring quality.

AVENUE ROAD is currently seeking an experienced full-time Architectural Procurement Specialist. Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain, this is an opportunity for a dynamic professional to have daily input into all purchasing functions with worldwide vendors to support the needs of four North American showrooms. Duties will include, but not limited to:

  •  Support sales team in following the project through inception to final client billing
  • Manage vendor communication and vendor relationships
  • Place and track purchase orders in ERP system with architectural product lines
  • As a member of the procurement team, manage various related product lines as required
  • Accurately purchase client orders, custom orders, inventory, samples and replacement orders and efficiently track vendor order confirmations, deposit & balance payments
  • Negotiate pricing, quantity discounts, and showroom consignment pieces
  • Verify all order confirmations & invoices to ensure data accuracy with minimal errors
  • Follow-up on production and lead times with all vendors and ensure accuracy with all release dates
  • Contact vendors about any damages and product issues & secure the most favorable solution for AVENUE ROAD & the client
  • Monitor North American stock levels and advise Executive Team on any shortfalls/opportunities 
  • Publish a list of all inbound stock & new items to allow Sales to promote new lines
  • Communicate all dates and changes with internal departments – Sales, Client Support, Logistics, and Marketing
  • Take ownership of timely pricing uploads and accuracy to ensure all sales orders are entered correctly
  • Other duties, as required

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Interior Design, Architecture, or Project Management degree or diploma
  • Experience in interior design or construction industry an asset
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs with proficient skills in Excel
  • Intermediate abilities with AutoCAD
  • Excellent understanding and focus on quality, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task within specific time constraints while effectively meeting deadlines
  • Be an excellent communicator both verbally and written, along with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude, strong work ethic and is self-motivated
  • An outstanding collaborative team player
