Jenkins Build Design is seeking a Design Operations Director to join their luxury residential design-build firm located in Austin, Texas. Serving the custom home market in the greater Central Texas Area, from Lake Austin to Lake LBJ, Jenkins Build Design is a growing firm looking to add a talented, licensed Architect to lead, manage, and mentor their design team.

Duties

  • The Design Operations Director’s role is critical to developing, mentoring and organizing the design department to efficiently meet both departmental and project goals. 
  • Additionally, the Design Operation’s Director is instrumental in business development and marketing efforts for the firm. 
  • If required, the Design Operations Director may also be required to perform Project Architect responsibilities depending on the workload at any given time.   This role reports directly to the President.

Experience

  • Minimum 15 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from accredited college or university.
  • Licensed Architect in Texas.

Skills Required

  • Luxury Residential Design and Technical Detailing Experience.
  • Drafting, modeling and rendering skills including proficiency in Revit Architecture or equivalent.
  • Digital graphic skills, including Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Familiar with and interested in Building Science and cutting-edge methods of construction.
  • Demonstrated experience in department leadership, mentoring, and ability to develop future business.
