Taking a product and platform-based approach, we vertically integrate high-rise mass timber building systems, advanced design-engineering, automated manufacturing, and parametric software. Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of industry-disrupting design solutions for Intelligent City’s product-oriented offering
  • Build the Intelligent City product team around a culture of innovation, sustainability, and urgency
  • Develop the company’s offering in relation to building typologies and market types
  • Lead and maintain the company’s design standards
  • Coordinate with the architectural design teams and business development to align expectations and development needs
  • Coordinate with the manufacturing technology, building systems, and software development teams to align the company’s development milestones
  • Work with the architecture, sustainability, and business development teams to develop RFP and feasibility study standards, and review initiatives
  • Lead a team with diverse backgrounds from architecture, engineering, and product development

Required Skills and Experience:

  • You have a bachelor’s in Architecture or related fields
  • You have 5-10 years of relevant experience in architectural design, product design, industrial design and/or design management
  • You lead by doing and consistently achieve objectives and milestones
  • You have built teams around you and have inspired those you manage to exceed expectations and enjoy the experience
  • You have experience with component-based design and construction
  • You have experience with computational design, such as Rhino, Grasshopper, Revit and/or Dynamo
  • You have experience with prefabrication or manufacturing
  • You have a proven coordination process experience including working with consultants using multiple software platforms
  • You are highly skilled in design development and presenting ideas clearly
  • You are an excellent communicator who seeks first to understand, then to be understood
  • You are data-focused with an attention to detail
  • You promote a culture of continuous improvement and high performance that values learning and a commitment to quality
