Figurr Architects Collective is looking for an Intern Architect to participate in project development with their Ottawa team. The selected candidate will work closely with Partners, associates, and architects in a collaborative studio environment.

Figurr is looking for a candidate who can:

• Work collaboratively as part of a larger team while taking direction from Project Architects and Partners
• Prepare construction documents for building permits as well as tender submissions
• Develop technical solutions in response to design challenges, including building envelope detailing
• Conduct research, develop project details and also manage BIM models
• Contribute to the successful development of the projects’ BIM model to ensure quality in design and technical resolution
• Assist in construction administration activities, including site visits and coordination with consultants and contractors

You have the profile of an Intern Architect at Figurr if:

• You are self-motivated and well organized with a demonstrated passion for architectural design and technical excellence
• You have a strong understanding of building technology, building envelope detailing and construction techniques
• You are proficient in BIM Revit modeling and detailing
• You have knowledge of the Ontario Building Code
• You have excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• You have the ability to work independently while collaborating on multiple projects
• You are able to meet deadlines effectively

Qualifications

• Graduated from a recognized School of Architecture with a professional architecture degree
• A minimum of 5 years of work experience
• Strong knowledge of common Canadian construction techniques
• Experience in developing and coordinating contract documents
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
• Knowledge of Photoshop and SketchUp
