Gensler Chicago is seeking a passionate, high-initiative Graphic Designer that can thrive within a well established brand environment as a key member of the Marketing Team. The ideal candidate is positive, creative, able to collaborate across multiple teams, incorporate the perspective and feedback of multiple stakeholders, and able to create a myriad of materials (print, digital, graphic and information design) that reflect the Gensler brand and effectively reinforce the business objectives guiding each initiative.

What Your Will Do

  • Work with senior staff, new business teams to develop content in support of business development
  • Develop creative content to simplify complex business/technical structures, visions, processes and strategies
  • Design and create solutions and infographics for presentations, proposals, collateral, reports, and various initiatives within the office
  • Independently coordinate multiple marketing efforts against rapid and frequent deadlines
  • Coordinate with studios and other Gensler offices to synthesize and integrate “best practices”

Your Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of professional experience in a marketing/graphic design position
  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or visual communications (or related field, with relevant experience)
  • Strong design portfolio demonstrating design talent for collateral, presentation and information design
  • Experience working directly with senior staff on critical projects with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment under tight deadlines with attention to detail and an emphasis on accuracy and quality
  • Storytelling aptitude—the ability to craft raw ideas into compelling messages
  • Strategic, creative thinking, with the ability to brainstorm, collaborate, and build consensus among multiple stakeholders
  • Well-developed communication and analytical skills
  • Understanding of and experience in corporate branding, layout, color theory and typography in both digital and print media
  • Expert user of Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Working knowledge of Dreamweaver, After Effects, Premiere is preferred
