Vancouver’s hcma is seeking a devoted Intermediate/Senior Graphic Designer to work within their Communication Design team on client-facing projects and hybrid collaborations, integrating graphic design elements into larger architectural initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Developing hcma brand design concepts for external client projects from brainstorming, concept development to execution and rollout.
  • Preparing mood boards, mockups, and visual presentations for internal reviews and client presentation.
  • Collaborating with marketing and communications teams to create materials that promote the firm’s services, values and culture.
  • Designing internal collateral such as presentations, branded swag, toolkits and event graphics.
  • Collaborating with team members to ensure a cohesive visual identity across both internal and external deliverables.
  • Mentoring, knowledge-sharing and guiding junior designers when needed.
  • Keeping up to date with latest design trends, tools and technologies.

Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic/Communication Design or similar field
  • 5+ years’ experience of design and production in both print and digital on a variety of briefs
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience in web design, motion graphics and/or data visualization
  • Experience delivering and executing creative concepts
  • Aptitude for communicating complex ideas clearly through communication design
  • Strong communication, problem-solving and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Creative vision and flexibility
