About The Role

AvroKO is seeking creative talent with 3-4 years of post-graduate experience with an emphasis in interior design for hospitality to work closely as part of our project teams on a variety of challenging and cutting edge design projects. As we expand our portfolio of work, we are also seeking those with demonstrable multifamily residential design experience.

Core Responsibilities:

DESIGN – Dreaming Up Incredible Ideas
As part of our creative collaborative you will be expected to generate innovative and engaging designs that exceed our client’s expectations.

Prepare presentations consisting of mood boards, plans, elevations, perspectives (in hand and CGI model) and sourcing, selecting and presenting materials, finishes and FF&E.

Developing art features and styling moments as part of our project designs.

Coordinating with our project partners such as client reps, operators, consultants and builders.

Carrying the concept throughout all the details and being able to create crafted rich layers to our projects.

DOCUMENT – Putting Pen to Paper

Take a central role in producing our drawings and specifications from design development thought contract documentation using hand sketching, AutoCAD, Spexx and Sketch Up.

Integrate the requirements of our project partners, especially coordinating owner, consultant and operator needs.

DELIVER – Realize Our Vision

Take a central role in our team’s Construction Administration activities including responding to RFI’s, reviewing submittals, conducting field observation visits and reporting, conducting punch lists troubleshooting challenges on site – all while safeguarding the design and vision for the project.
About You

We’re looking to meet talented, creative, collaborative, conceptual designers who bring their passion, enthusiasm and unique take on conceptual thinking, and crafting a story and narrative, to augment our teams in interior design, art features, furnishings and lighting.

Qualifications and Skills:

-Demonstrated design talent and conceptual thinking, and demonstrated professional experience in hospitality and or multifamily residential design.
-BA/BS required in interior design, interior architecture or architecture. Masters preferred.
-3 to 4 years post graduate experience at an architecture or interior design firm, or freelancing with same, with an emphasis in high end international hospitality and / or multifamily interior design.
-Outstanding presentation skills including verbal, written and illustrative. You’re confident and articulate.
-Advanced proficiency utilizing the following tools;
-Pen and Paper – nothing beats a quick evocative hand sketch, or some moving written copy.
-Adobe Creative Suite, especially In-Design and Photoshop,
-3D Presentation techniques, be it by hand, Sketch Up, V-Ray Rhino or Max.
-AutoCAD. Working of knowledge of Spexx is a plus but not required.
-MS Office Suite
-The ideal candidate will be team oriented and an excellent communicator, (superb proficiency in written and spoken English is a must) self-motivated, and comfortable in a collaborative and dynamic work environment.
-You must already be eligible to work in the United States of America and preferably already located in the San Francisco area.
-Down to earth, comfortable as yourself and confident in a team and expressing your ideas. We’re nice people at AvroKO, and we hope you are too.
