EVOQ Architecture is seeking an Intermediate Architect to join their team in Toronto, Canada. As a a recognized leader in heritage conservation, contemporary design and architecture in First Nations and Inuit communities, culture, history and technology underpin EVOQ’s architectural approach. The ideal candidate would have at least 5-10 years of relevant experience and an interest in existing and heritage buildings.
Responsibilities
- Participate in all phases of project development
- Prepare contract/construction documents
- Identify and resolve technical issues
- Coordinate plans and specifications with other consultants and stakeholders
- Participate in team and consultant management
- Contribute to the preparation of tenders, project schedules and cost estimates.
- Perform site review and contract administration
Experience
- Architect licensed in Ontario (OAA)
- 5 years – 10 years of professional experience in contract document production, site review and contract administration.
- Computer skills: Revit, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam; and familiarity with Photoshop, InDesign.
- Knowledge of building codes, historic and contemporary building envelope design, building materials and specifications.
- Strong technical knowledge of construction details.
