EVOQ Architecture is seeking an Intermediate Architect to join their team in Toronto, Canada. As a a recognized leader in heritage conservation, contemporary design and architecture in First Nations and Inuit communities, culture, history and technology underpin EVOQ’s architectural approach.  The ideal candidate would have at least 5-10 years of relevant experience and an interest in existing and heritage buildings.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all phases of project development
• Prepare contract/construction documents
• Identify and resolve technical issues
• Coordinate plans and specifications with other consultants and stakeholders
• Participate in team and consultant management
• Contribute to the preparation of tenders, project schedules and cost estimates.
• Perform site review and contract administration

Experience

• Architect licensed in Ontario (OAA) 
• 5 years – 10 years of professional experience in contract document production, site review and contract administration.
• Computer skills: Revit, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam; and familiarity with Photoshop, InDesign.
• Knowledge of building codes, historic and contemporary building envelope design, building materials and specifications.
• Strong technical knowledge of construction details.
