Tatar Art Projects is seeking a design-driven and art-savvy individual to provide key support to the Senior Art Consultant for the firm’s Hospitality and Corporate project divisions.

We are searching for a self-starter with a love of art, culture and interior design. The ideal candidate is a creative problem solver with a range of design skills and art sourcing capabilities.

A strong attention to detail is required as the Junior Art Consultant will be directly involved in all project details including: program development, art sourcing, art acquisitions, overseeing production, client communication, administration, shipping and logistics coordination etc. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and creative problem solver with a wide range of design, technical and art-sourcing capabilities. He or she must possess a range of technical skills that are essential in communicating art strategies and developing creative presentations.

What You’ll Do:

Report to Senior Art Consultant

Assist in the development of artwork programming, ideation, sourcing, placement plans, artwork elevations and renderings

Assist in development of art budgets, project schedules, timelines etc

Source and prepare creative imagery for concept presentations

Source and prepare creative imagery and layout for communication and business development related presentations

Artist/gallery liaison, supplier management, commission management, logistics, client communication and daily project tasks

Prioritize and complete all varied tasks assigned from Senior Art Consultant and Creative Director

Who You Are:

Degree or Diploma in art history, interior design, or a related discipline. Will consider recent university and college graduates with internship experience at design/creative firms.

1-2 years of experience working in an arts related or design role

Strong proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator

Advanced knowledge with office related software such as Numbers, Pages or Microsoft Office Suite

AutoCad knowledge considered a strong added bonus

Strong writing skills

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to juggle various projects at once to meet deadlines

What Will Set You Apart:

Innate creative talent and passion for art and design

Understanding of commercial art world with knowledge of hospitality, boutique and luxury markets (hospitality, retail, commercial)

Excellent research and art sourcing abilities. Knowledge of various online and mobile art sourcing platforms is preferred.

Strong understanding and proficiency with various social media platforms such as Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn etc.
