We are currently looking for a highly motivated and talented Graduate or recently Qualified Landscape Architect to join our dynamic award winning landscape team based in the Manchester Studio.

BDP’s Landscape Architecture profession in Manchester is involved in a wide variety of exciting and challenging projects, including a high profile higher education masterplan, a major new hospital, numerous sustainable residential developments, and some exciting urban regeneration projects.  We recently delivered the LI Award winning Hive at Kew Gardens’ project, and completed the landscape / public realm associated with two RIBA and Civic Trust Award winning projects – Oldham Town Hall and the Bright Building at Manchester Science Park.

About the role
You will contribute to design driven solutions on a wide range of projects from design guides to landscape masterplans, and detail design and delivery of contractor-led developments.  You will also play a key role in supporting our team in the international market, working closely with other disciplines within the group and our international offices to deliver high quality environments for the public and private sectors.

As part of our commitment to career development within the landscape team, full support & mentoring will be given to the chosen candidate to enable them to either gain professional Landscape Institute Chartership or develop their skills & abilities as a recently qualified Landscape Architect.

About you

You will be a highly motivated and talented individual who has a qualification in Landscape Architecture who aspires to becoming a Chartered member of the Landscape Institute, or has recently passed the P2C exam.

You will be able to demonstrate conceptual design skills and strong technical design and drawing capabilities, and be proficient in AutoCAD and design packages such as Sketch Up and Adobe Creative Suite of programs.

You will be able to analyse designs and have the ability to present information and design solutions graphically, verbally and in writing.

You will have a good understanding of issues affecting landscape architecture at various stages in the design process and a broad based understanding of detail design including current legislation and CDM.
