As a mid-level Urban Designer on the Perkins&Will Shanghai team, you will:
- Work with the senior Urban Designer and designer director to detail and refine design;
- Work in the whole project process as a team member from early research to design modeling and final production;
- Coordinate/collaborate with all the disciplines and teams involved;
- Provide assistance in developing planning concepts, site master planning, landscape architecture, and establishing traffic and infrastructure systems;
- Capable of leading small scale site design; coordinate and make work assignments in the project process; guide and mentor junior designers in the design team;
- Coordinate with project teams and each collaborator;
- Capable of reviewing all the technical documents and refine problems;
- Certain communication skills verbally and in writing.
To Join Us, You Should Have
- Professional degree in Architecture or Planning;
- 5-8 years of experience in Urban Design and Planning;
- Comprehensive understanding of urban design principles and theory;
- Associated with project design and execution;
- Knowledge of GIS, Revit, CAD, 3D computer modeling and graphic design;
- Be purpose-driven with team spirit, effective communication skills and strong organizing ability;
- Licensed architect or planner are preferred;
- Strong bilingual verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin highly desired;
- LEED Accredited professionals or within 6 months of hire.
