As a mid-level Urban Designer on the Perkins&Will Shanghai team, you will:

  • Work with the senior Urban Designer and designer director to detail and refine design;
  • Work in the whole project process as a team member from early research to design modeling and final production;
  • Coordinate/collaborate with all the disciplines and teams involved;
  • Provide assistance in developing planning concepts, site master planning, landscape architecture, and establishing traffic and infrastructure systems;
  • Capable of leading small scale site design; coordinate and make work assignments in the project process; guide and mentor junior designers in the design team;
  • Coordinate with project teams and each collaborator;
  • Capable of reviewing all the technical documents and refine problems;
  • Certain communication skills verbally and in writing.

To Join Us, You Should Have

  • Professional degree in Architecture or Planning;
  • 5-8 years of experience in Urban Design and Planning;
  • Comprehensive understanding of urban design principles and theory;
  • Associated with project design and execution;
  • Knowledge of GIS, Revit, CAD, 3D computer modeling and graphic design;
  • Be purpose-driven with team spirit, effective communication skills and strong organizing ability;
  • Licensed architect or planner are preferred;
  • Strong bilingual verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin highly desired;
  • LEED Accredited professionals or within 6 months of hire.
