The ideal candidate will be an architect with at least ten years of diverse clinical planning experience with large, complex healthcare institutions and facilities and possess a demonstrated passion for excellence in healthcare planning and design.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to manage and synthesize large amounts of program data, good organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a busy office, are key attributes.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply proven and innovative clinical planning expertise to the development of outstanding healthcare architecture
  • Lead the clinical planning process with clients and the design team 
  • Lead the coordination and integration of engineering disciplines and requirements of medical equipment 
  • Effectively manage the deliverables of the healthcare design team within aggressive project schedules
  • Actively seek new knowledge in the design and planning of medical and healthcare facilities
  • Promote industry knowledge through research, publications and presentations at conferences and symposia
  • Support Business Development within the healthcare sector

Qualifications

  • Professional level degree in Architecture 
  • Have fluency in applicable healthcare codes, regulations, standards and best practices
  • Evidence of continuing education and research in the field of healthcare design
  • EDAC (Evidence Based Design Accreditation), Sigma Six or LEAN qualifications are an advantage
  • WELL certification is an advantage
  • Working knowledge of REVIT
  • Experience with dRofus or similar data management programs is an advantage
  • Knowledge of Alternate Finance and Procurement models in the health-care environment
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and provide sound mentorship to grow the healthcare design team
