Internationally acclaimed luxury hospitality design firm Tihany Design is seeking a talented and motivated Senior FF&E Designer to join the New York studio.
Requirements:
- bachelor’s or master’s degree in interior design or related field
- minimum ten years’ of experience in luxury hospitality/residential design
- proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, MS Office are a plus but not required
- proficiency in interior architectural finishes and FF&E specifications writing
- experience working on multiple projects and managing tight deadlines
- experience required in: interior design presentation, sourcing and documenting FF&E design – including custom FF&E – and selection and documentation of interior architectural finishes
- strong leadership and ability to collaborate with project teams
- strong communication skills including verbal, written and visual, and ability to present at a high level
Responsibilities of the Senior FF&E Designer:
- initiating unique FF&E design concepts for hospitality projects (including restaurant design) and developing full scale design presentations by sourcing, sampling and budgeting FF&E designs
- developing custom furniture, fixtures and lighting design
- lead the project team in documenting FF&E design on a variety of project types
- manage all required ID and FF&E documentation
- review samples, strike-offs, FF&E shop drawing and prototype for compliance with specifications and design intent
- serve as principal contact with Purchasing Agent
- coordinate selection and presentation of artwork and accessories if required
- coordinate FF&E installation with all parties involved
- managing projects independently, coordinating and cultivating relationships with other project consultants and vendors
- managing, directing and providing design oversight to a team of intermediate and junior designers
- keep up to date with industry developments, products, and trends, for continued professional development
