Simpson Studio is an award-winning British Design House, with a multidisciplinary team of architects, designers and cabinet makers, creating better space through the complete co-ordination of architecture, interiors, furniture and product design.

As the studio heads towards its tenth year, with big plans for the future, it is now looking for a senior interior designer to take the lead role in the interior side of the studio, integrating and working alongside the architects and cabinet makers to deliver holistic and striking projects across the UK.

We are looking for a passionate, highly motivated, and creative senior interior designer. The role is focused on interior finishes and FF&E. Our ideal candidate would have experience collating interesting design schemes, completing FF&E and material selection, coordinating procurement, and overseeing installation on site. We are looking for someone to run the soft side of the interiors, so an understating of fabric, trims, upholstery and FF&E sourcing is critical.

The role will include:

  • creating and presenting design concepts for review with the team
  • managing interior meetings with clients
  • preparing FF&E budgets
  • sourcing finishes, fixtures, fabrics, lighting, hardware and accessories
  • designing bespoke headboards, seating, cushions and throws
  • coordinating curtains and blinds
  • attending site visits at key stages
  • procuring all FF&E
  • managing FF&E installs

Skills and experience:

  • previous experience in a similar role
  • creative with an excellent eye for detail
  • organised, pro-active and self-motivated
  • excellent communication skills, and enjoys collaborating with a wider design team
  • experienced and confident in liaising with clients
  • has excellent spoken and written English

Software skills:

  • confident on Mac computers
  • Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Adobe Creative Suite
