Reporting to the VP, Operations and Architecture, Sid Lee Architecture is searching for a Technical Director, Architecture to be responsible for leading operations on projects in their Montréal workshop.

Tasks

Leadership in project management and technical expert role:

• Supervise the preparation of project notebooks and correct plans and specifications.
• Ensure quality control and compliance in the execution of projects and details.
• Take the necessary measures to ensure compliance with the rules on non-conformity elements.
• Participate in the production of quotes.
• Validate the general conditions of contracts and ensure compliance of the clauses with the project manager.
• Supervise construction site management. 

Technical team management: 

• Act as a director to technical architects at Sid Lee.
• Ensure the development and training of the team by sharing knowledge.
• Ensure the establishment of conditions conducive to development and a healthy and productive work environment.
• Collaborate with human resources on hiring, training, evaluations and other development projects.
• Actively participate in forecasting exercises in human and financial management.

Requirements

• College or university training in architecture.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in architecture in a technical architecture role including directorial or management experience.
• Excellent knowledge of building codes and design standards.
• Proficiency in Autocad and Revit software.
