Named for different neighbourhoods in New York’s most populous borough, the five patterns in the Brooklyn Bound textile collection by fibre artist and designer Elodie Blanchard combine classic weaves with digital printing technologies to uplift traditional and familiar weaves. The diverse sires of complementary textures and colours include:

Park Slope, a twill weave made with two or three yarn combinations that five for an organic look and feel.

The most textural of the group, Fort Greene has a thin warp blended with a thicker bouclé yarn for luxurious feel.

Carrol Greens, which uses either a cotton matte black or grey wrap that is interlaced with a metallic weft for a basket weave with a slight gleam.

A playful layering of shapes in differing sizes and opacities, Prospect Heights is a mid-scale digital pattern with a youthful energy.
