Hémicycle collection by Ligne Roset

Ligne Roset’s new Hémicycle collection is designed by Philippe Nigro in partnership with Mobilier National — France’s national furniture supplier to embassies and ministries.

The Hémicycle collection combines Ligne Roset’s passion for research with their respect for tradition — all with an aura of modernity. Not only does it make for great conversation seating, but it’s a conversation starter as well.

Each of the Hémicycle seats share an undeniable character: their semi-circular shape invites conviviality, while superimposed backrests offer refined comfort.

Hémicycle collection by Ligne Roset

In French, Hémicycle is the word for ‘semi-circle.’ Nigro’s very personal signature style is apparent in the collection, where he flawlessly incorporates interlocking shapes and allows space for customization.

Inspired by historic French seating, Nigro took particular interest in resurrecting a ‘forgotten’ piece, with a contemporary twist: the tête-à-tête, a shape symbolic of the Second Empire. Directly translating to “head-to-head,” this chair is meant for private conversations, where two acquaintances can communicate with eye contact and without turning their heads.

The collection consists of armchair, 2-seater, S-shaped conversation seat, and vis-à-vis styles. Available in a variety colours and upholsteries, the expertly tailored finish can also combine two fabrics and/or leathers.
