Tanis is a re-introduction of a desk designed by Pierre Paulin in 1954. While its original design has been scrupulously respected, the modest finishes of the era have been modernized and enriched.

Now, the writing surface is made from scratch-resistant, anti-microbial FENIX laminate – finished in black to match the black lacquered tubular steel base – and complemented by two drawers in a warm, natural walnut finish.

This functional, minimalist desk is a direct descendant of the Bauhaus movement, as well as a reflection of Paulin’s own experiences as he traveled around Sweden to learn about Scandinavian modernist design.

It is a design piece as relevant now as ever with applications in residential, commercial and hotel projects.
