With its sloped seat that lifts off the ground, this compact chair by Milan-based designer Nicola Gallizia evokes the comfort and familiarity of a rocker. A slender bentwood frame wraps around the body to form both arms and legs, providing a tactile contrast to the generous upholstered cushions.

Both designer and manufacturer wanted to pay homage to the Bauhaus by blurring functionalism with purism, artisanal creation with industrial production.

Made from solid ash, the structural frame is offered in a natural or black-stained finish, while multiple upholstery options are available to cover the polyurethane foam cushions, including fabric, leather and eco-leather.
