Segni Minimi rug by CC Tapis

Italian architect, designer and artist Giuseppe Di Costanzo based his Segni Minimi collection of graphically informed rugs for CC Tapis off of his own drawings, sketches and digital collages.

Red, black and white rug
Yellow, white and black carpet

An amalgam of lines, strokes and swathes in differing thickness and directions, the seven patterns represent imagined scenarios inspired by the architecture of the Mediterranean, specifically Di Costanzo’s home city of Naples.

The original compositions have been translated into hand-knotted rugs (made in Nepal) utilizing a specialized technique to create a true representation of the artworks.

Treading the line between abstract and figurative, CC Tapis’ Segni Minimi rugs are made from Himalayan wool and measure 230 by 300 centimetres.
