It’s a new way of creating metal designs at Chemetal. Introducing Surface Mode, new designs on thicker metals.

Chemetal started by machining patterns into .09” aluminum. They finished the sheets with their popular ALU metal look – aluminums finished with a slightly linear, darkened colour variation. The result: Stunning metal feature panels in neutral shades of black.

Ideal for interior spaces, the 6 new CNC carved designs are named after inspirational cities (Budapest, Barcelona, Sapporo, Milan), allusions to surf breaks and what we remember from Chemistry class (or what we recall from a Breaking Bad marathon).

Designers can create their own custom CNC patterns. Plus, Chemetal offers powder coated panels from the full spectrum of powder-coating options. Chemetal finished out Surface Mode with more designs for which they are known.

Surface Mode panels are thicker and can be installed without a wood substrate, making installation – using mechanical fasteners or a wall panel system – easier and more affordable.

Plus, the panels are more easily repurposed, recycled or freecycled because they are 100 percent aluminum. All from Chemetal, a second-generation family-owned business.
