Triennale Milano will be holding an International Ideas Competition for the recovery and renovation of the Villa Reale in Monza. The competition is open to urban planners, architects, business managers, communicators, designers, engineers, makers, economists, sociologists, anthropologists and all persons from a variety of backgrounds.

The challenge is to identify strategies, projects and actions that can ensure the sustainability of the Villa Reale and its exceptional historical, cultural and scenic value, with a history closely linked to that of the Triennale.

Participants in the Ideas Competition are invited to create a video and to draft an illustrated presentation with an indicative and evocative vision for the processes involved in reviving and promoting the Villa Reale in Monza.

The project must take into account the particular features of the historic building, its functional needs and the activities held on its premises, drafting an innovative and sustainable programme that will also foster synergies with other sectors in the Royal Palace system.
