Concéntrico 06, Logroño’s International Festival of Architecture and Design, proposes to reflect on the urban environment and the city through architecture and design proposals in different formats. The new edition will be held from 29 April to 3 May 2020.

The festival announces three international competitions for participation in three of the locations. The aim of these competitions is to create a Pavilion in the Plaza de Escuelas Trevijano and two interventions, one in the Paseo del Espolón and the other in Viña Lanciano by Bodegas LAN. The winning projects will be part of the set of facilities that will be carried out in different locations in the city.

Each installation, made with Garnica plywood panels, is created by teams of architects and/or designers who propose, experiment and explore new fields of environmental design. In this way, a dialogue is established between heritage and contemporary architecture that seeks to activate citizens’ reflection on spaces.

The competition includes both the design of the pavilion and the subsequent construction, assembly and disassembly of the same by the winning team, as the owner of the piece. The team that places second in this call for Concéntrico 06 will be invited to create an intervention for Concéntrico 07.

The Festival invites attendees to visit these places through installations that create a connection between interior patios, hidden spaces and plazas that typically go unnoticed in day-to-day life.

All professionals from the fields of architecture and urbanism with a degree in Architecture may apply.
