The goal of the competition is to obtain ideas for a representative center of the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava (STU). It should include the STU innovative science center, educational, social, multi-purpose and leisure spaces such as interiors, exteriors and part of the rector’s workplaces.
The STU center should serve to students, teachers, researchers and STU employees, as well as profession experts, municipal authorities and the public.
Its goal is to create conditions for cooperation of the professional and academic environments, and to serve as an important city space for communication with the public. This would be emphasized by the openness of the area and its connection to the main public spaces of the city.
Submission Requirements
- Graphic: Main perspective of the proposal, floor plans, 2 sections, all views, axonometry of the area and other perspectives and views as desired
- Written: Author’s report with a description of the ideological, architectural, construction materials and technical aspects of the design, divided into text fields:
- Project idea
- Project description
- Technical information
- Co-authors
Prizes
- First Place: 2,000 EUR
- Second Place: 1,500 EUR
- Third Place: 1,000 EUR
In the case of implementation, the author of the winning design will be named at the STU building of their winning design.
