The Eugene J. Mackey Jr. Lecture is an endowed lecture honouring Eugene J. Mackey Jr., a distinguished architect who practiced in partnership with Joseph Murphy, former dean of the Washington University School of Architecture. Among other projects, Mackey and Murphy designed John M. Olin Library and collaborated with R. Buckminster Fuller on the design of the Missouri Botanical Garden’s Climatron.

Architect, critic, and historian Kenneth Frampton, the Ware Professor of Architecture at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation, will deliver the annual Eugene J. Mackey Jr. Lecture, titled Mendes da Rocha and the Space of Appearance.
