Kaleidoscopic Home is a playful exploration of how emerging technology might redefine how we live at home. The exhibition encourages interaction with Kaleidoscopic Home’s digital interventions and tactile sculptures, asking: what if each day provoked a new excursion into wildly creative play? Tin & Ed’s augmented reality app uses object recognition to generate digital obstacles from the physical sculptures, filling SPACE10 Gallery with a kaleidoscope of stimuli that nudge us to walk, dance, crawl or leap in unexpected ways through the space. The artists collaborated with lighting designers Fady Sadeq and Asif Rahman to illuminate the inflatable sculptures which physically manifest the digital playscape.
The exhibition is part of an ongoing series of digital experiments by SPACE10 and IKEA that explores ways to enhance our interactions with space and improve our everyday lives.
