Design Networking Hub – let’s connect! hosts a panel discussion that invites authorities in the creative and design realm to discuss the challenges, opportunities and possibilities of intercultural projects.

The panel discussion is centred around the theme of “let’s connect” and draws conversations on international cooperation.

Speakers at the event include the German Federal Foreign Office’s Dr Peter Kettner, Design Kenya Society’s Kyesubire Greigg, Nomad Magazine’s Tanja Heuchele, German Design Museum Foundation’s Julia Kostial, the German Design Council’s Alexandra Sender as well as a group of people from the Design Networking Hub. It will be moderated by design journalist, communications consultant and 2019 Dezeen Awards judge, Yoko Choy.

A pilot group of small teams, including five German and five Kenyan young designers and architects, were brought together by the Design Networking Hub to work in teams to create a “bilateral cooperation project”. These teams explored areas of mobility, housing and digitalization to develop new products, business ideas or non-profit concepts. The teams will use information learned and gained from the panel discussion to further their work and projects.
