4 Architecture is an architectural practice with an award-winning portfolio of residential, commercial and institutional projects. We have a full-time position available for an Intermediate Architectural Technologist with a minimum of 5 years of post-graduate work experience.

Qualifications of the Intermediate Architectural Technologist include:

• Advanced knowledge and application of AutoCAD and Revit
• Strong Knowledge of the Ontario Building Code and Municipal By-Laws
• Strong communications skills (written and verbal).
• Solid working experience and competency with graphic design programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, Bluebeam and Adobe Acrobat
• Experience producing construction drawings & details with a good interpretation of different construction systems
• Confident to make decisions, with a will to succeed.
• Strong understanding of project dynamics, with solid experience throughout all project phases.

Duties include:

This position requires candidates to possess excellent drafting skills, superior attention to detail and the ability to take initiative to follow-through on a wide range of tasks and responsibilities. Each candidate should have a sense of responsibility for their work, can successfully interact with other team members and take direction. Candidates must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment and should be self-motivated, responsible, assertive and passionate.

Tasks include:

• Working on projects of various stages, scales and complexity.
• Drafting projects in AutoCad and Revit
• Preparation and issuance of project deliverables within the project schedule (Design, Permit, Bid, Construction, etc.)
• Working on multiple projects simultaneously with internal team members and consultants.
