Gina Armchair by Maurizio Manzoni for Cierre 1972

Italian architect and designer Maurizio Manzoni modelled his Gina armchair after the organic structure of a tulip in bloom: Two petal-like cushions rise from the seat, forming an embracing and comfortable backrest. The seat itself is plump and forgiving, providing a stable and soft perch.

The expanded polyurethane foam cushion of the armchair can be covered in a range of fabrics in different colourways to introduce a vibrant or subdued hue; a variety of patterns and motifs are also offered.

Holding it all together is the rigid yet slender tubular metal frame, which can be powder-coated in 10 RAL colourways with a matte finish.
