The acclaimed collaborators behind the winning selection of the Africatown International Design Idea Competition will present, “Current Work: Africatown, A Collaborative Approach.” Hosted by The Architectural League of New York, the highly anticipated session will detail the team’s collective approach to the revitalization and historic significance of a distinct Alabama community.

This event will feature presenters Claire Weisz, FAIA, founding principal of WXY architecture + urban design that assembled the award-winning design team and the firm’s the director of global practice, Farida Abu-Bakare FRAIC, the team’s leader. Other team members include colleagues with Body Lawson Associates, Jerome Haferd Studio, Brandt:Haferd, Total Consult and Elizabeth Kennedy Landscape Architecture.
