Lanescape is seeking an experienced Architectural Technologist to join their Toronto office and work on their growing list of projects.

Committed to social advocacy, urban planning and contextually-sensitive design, Lanescape specializes in the development of laneway and garden suites throughout Toronto.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-3 years experience in residential design and construction
• Proficiency in the following software:
  • High proficiency in Autodesk Revit is essential
  • Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
  • Sketchup
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
• Thorough comprehension of wood-frame construction detailing, materials, and standards
• Knowledge of the Ontario Building Code, Part 9
• Familiarity with municipal approvals and the Toronto zoning by-law
• Passion for sustainable, innovative urban design and construction
• Self-sufficiency, self-motivation and a critical eye for detail
• Excellent graphic, written and oral communication skills

Responsibilities

• Full-time work week, 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday
• Collaborate and coordinate with teammates, clients, consultants, and vendors
• Lead preparation of drawings for permit, tender, and construction
• Material/specification research, detailing, and coordination
• Monitoring of deliverables, schedules and communication with clients
