Rockwell Group is seeking a full-time Interior Designer to work in all phases of design projects with their office team in New York.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and document design concepts for interior design and space planning
• Sketch preliminary designs and produce visualizations from 3D models that reflect the proposed floor plans, RCPs, elevations and FF&E
• Create design presentations, mood boards and material boards/binders to help convey look and feel of concepts proposed by interior designers to Rockwell Group clients
• Prepare design specifications in coordination with project architects and managers
• Meet with clients to determine project requirements and advise on interior design scope

Skills and Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in architecture or interiors; preferred focus on interior design
• Bachelor’s/master’s degree in interior design, architecture or relevant field
• Knowledgeable in materials, finishes, millwork design, FF&E and OS&E
• Experience with all project phases (Concept through Construction Administration) including built work
• Strong experience in spec writing (knowledge of Specsources)
• Expertise in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Cloud (knowledge of Rhino, Revit, Enscape, V-Ray)
• Strong organizational and time management skills with an ability to meet fast-paced and changing deadlines
• Highly motivated self-starter with an attention to detail
• Enthusiasm for working on multi-disciplinary and highly collaborative teams
• Hospitality design experience is highly preferred
