Rockwell Group is seeking a full-time Interior Designer to work in all phases of design projects with their office team in New York.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and document design concepts for interior design and space planning
- Sketch preliminary designs and produce visualizations from 3D models that reflect the proposed floor plans, RCPs, elevations and FF&E
- Create design presentations, mood boards and material boards/binders to help convey look and feel of concepts proposed by interior designers to Rockwell Group clients
- Prepare design specifications in coordination with project architects and managers
- Meet with clients to determine project requirements and advise on interior design scope
Skills and Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in architecture or interiors; preferred focus on interior design
- Bachelor’s/master’s degree in interior design, architecture or relevant field
- Knowledgeable in materials, finishes, millwork design, FF&E and OS&E
- Experience with all project phases (Concept through Construction Administration) including built work
- Strong experience in spec writing (knowledge of Specsources)
- Expertise in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Cloud (knowledge of Rhino, Revit, Enscape, V-Ray)
- Strong organizational and time management skills with an ability to meet fast-paced and changing deadlines
- Highly motivated self-starter with an attention to detail
- Enthusiasm for working on multi-disciplinary and highly collaborative teams
- Hospitality design experience is highly preferred
