Mason Studio is looking for a creative and thoughtful Senior Project Designer to work in their Toronto office.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Leading conceptual development for projects that span disciplines and challenge convention
  • Overseeing all phases of a project to ensure alignment with objectives, budgets and timelines
  • Directing internal teams through design and documentation with precision and care
  • Producing and reviewing design packages, drawings and specifications that reflect excellence and compliance with codes and standards
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships through clear communication and engaged collaboration
  • Communicating project progress and ideas
  • Mentoring junior and intermediate team members through regular feedback and hands-on collaboration
  • Working closely with consultants, contractors and stakeholders of Mason Studio to ensure a senior designer level of project execution
  • Contributing to business development by building strong and positive relationships with clients and consultants

Qualifications and Skills

  • Degree in Interior Design or related discipline
  • Minimum 8 years of full-time experience in Interior Design
  • Proven experience leading complex projects from concept through construction
  • Expertise in drawing and documentation standards
  • Strong proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, and SketchUp
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills
  • Knowledge of local and international building codes and accessibility requirements
  • Experience in hospitality, multi-residential or large-scale commercial projects
