Milan-based designer Cristina Celestino and outdoor furniture-maker Ethimo recently collaborated on Seeds, a collection of benches and tables that bring simplicity and harmony to outdoor living. 

The Seeds benches and tables from Ethimo were devised to recall “the concept of growth, renewal and attunement to nature” and serve as a reference to all things gardening, including traditional greenhouses and nursery furniture. 

Essential in form, the benches and tables stand on squared, stalk-like legs with circular feet that not only ensure stability but add a refined decorative detail. Made from metal, the streamlined structures can be topped with a variety of materials: The Seeds tables can have pink or variegated terracotta, inspired by plant life, with a white and grey marbled surface that was hand-crafted by blending different clays; or natural teak slats. 

The steel benches can have the same two material surfaces, as well as metal slats or soft cushions upholstered in Ice or Darma Sage Green textiles. 

Creating a harmonious connection between indoors and outdoors, the Seeds collection from Ethimo can be used inside, with the benches serving as coffee tables or to display groupings of flowers and plants. 

Bridging design, nature and landscape architecture, the Seeds collection is both functional and decorative and makes an easy addition to spaces of any size and style, from residential garden, terraces, city balconies and patios to hospitality venues. 

Both the Seeds benches and the tables are available in three colour combinations – Camouflage Green with Bronze feet, Camouflage Grey with Russet Scarabea feet and Lime Stone White with Grey Gold feet. The tables are offered in two shapes, square and rectangular, and the benches come in two different heights.
