Studio Gang is hiring a Designer with 2+ years of experience. You’ll be based out of their office in Chicago, Illinois. This is an opportunity for Studio Gang’s Designer to assist with all phases of project design, from conceptual design through construction administration. Studio Gang is looking for someone who can mentor and offer guidance to team members, as well as participate in Studio life.

Responsibilities

• Advance architectural concepts and ideas through iterative sketching, physical and digital modeling, diagramming, and rendering
• Seek creative and innovative solutions throughout the life of a project
• Produce coordinated design and construction drawings, documents, material studies, and specifications in accordance with design intent and technical requirements
• Communicate consistently through excellent written, verbal, and visual means
• Collaborate with team members to develop and document design solutions
• Mentor and offer guidance to team members
• Participate in Studio life through events, research, task forces, and special projects

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of professional experience
• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in architecture
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite
• Strong knowledge of Rhino, AutoCAD, Revit and 3D rendering software
• Prior experience fabricating physical models
